Exhibition News!

I've had my work accepted into a number of exhibitions locally (Warrington, St Helens, Crosby & Altrincham) but it's not really something I've done on a regular basis & I have to admit, I don't really seek them out! But when a friend sent me the call out for the Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival Open Exhibition 2022, I thought I'd see what I could enter. I worked on re-edits of 3 images - one city based image and two woodland images - trying to show the range of my work. Yesterday, I received confirmation that one had been accepted!

'Within' is a series of images, taken in a small community woodland area (one of my favourite local places to escape to). It always has a feel of being a bit of a forgotten area, hidden away amongst busy roads (& even the motorway!).

I wanted to capture the sense of the hidden peace in the image, as well as a sense of mystery. 'Within' (pictured below), will be a one off original fine art print, but if there is interest, I'm thinking of putting a slightly cropped version onto my website as a limited edition fine art print.

The exhibition will run from October 21st to February 12th 2023 at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery.
