I started to write a few tips about shopping at Red Brick on my Instagram stories & then saved them as Highlights, so I thought that I might as well write a bit for here too! So here are my Top Tips for making the most of a trip to Red Brick Market, Liverpool. (Updated June 2025)
Red Brick Market can be found in the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool at 70 Stanhope Street, L8 5RF. You can find my unit right near the main doors. Just bear very slightly left as you come in and go down the aisle in front of you - I'm the first unit on the right!
Wrap up! It’s a very big indoor space and it can get quite chilly in Winter. On the plus side, in Summer when it's warm outside, it's always a wonderfully cool contrast to come inside!
Allow lots of time for your visit. There is so much to see, as the place is packed full of over 200 different small businesses. Some businesses only have a cabinet or a wall space, some have whole units (or even two units!) and it takes time to properly look at everything. If you need a pit stop and a sit down, we also have a cafe!
Collect a basket on the way in & bring a bag to take home all your purchases! Every business has their stall name on their price tags, so it's fine to go round collecting the things you want to buy and then take them to the front desk to pay. In case you are wondering, there are a LOT of recording CCTV cameras monitoring both the whole place & individual units! Note: The main desk only takes payments by card/contactless (no cash purchases - sorry). When I'm in my unit though, I am happy to take cash payments or payment by card /contactless if you want to buy my work!
Tag us! Red Brick is very Instagram-able, so if you take any photos for social media, don't forget to tag Red Brick Market Liverpool AND the small business itself when you share. That way you are actively helping others see just how wanderful we are.
Update : Please don't just 'Snap & Go'! I see so many people commenting that they like something, then just taking a photo of it with their phone. It's great that you found something you like but it's far better (if you can't buy the item that day), to take a photo of the business name and/or website details - look them up online & support them that way, with follows, likes & comments.
If you change your mind about an item you've picked up, please return it to where you found it if you can (remember, it will have the stall name on the tag) OR leave it with the main desk. That way it helps the business owner keep track of their stock and we don't suspect that it's been taken out of the building without payment.
Come back often! Every business swaps stock around on a regular basis and new businesses join us all the time, so make sure you visit us often so you keep up to date! Remember, we are open every day of the week until 6pm.
Follow us! The majority of the small businesses in Red Brick are on Social Media, take a note of their name and give them a follow. That way you can stay up to date with any sales, events or general news! Social Media is one of the easiest ways to help a small business stay in business! It costs nothing to follow / like / comment / share posts and every single interaction helps us become more visible.
Dogs are welcome! But please make sure they are well behaved and under control. In case of any 'doggy accidents', you can ask the main desk for cleaning materials. Please respect the market & the individual businesses by cleaning up after your dog.
Getting here - If you are driving, there is a Pay & Display car park on the Cains Brewery site or you could use public transport. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to Red Brick Market from the city centre.
A VERY bad phone clip of how to find me in Red Brick Market!
